Big News to Share: SnapGene is Now Part of Dotmatics

To our SnapGene customers,

In 2004, Benjamin Glick co-founded SnapGene to eliminate the inefficiencies he observed in molecular biology research. Created by a team of scientists, software engineers, and usability experts, SnapGene has become the easiest and most secure way for scientists to plan, visualize and document everyday molecular biology procedures.

Today, I’m excited to share that we’re expanding our impact by becoming part of Dotmatics. Read the press release here.

Just like SnapGene, Dotmatics was formed to empower scientists at every step of the research and development process. As the global leader in R&D scientific software, Dotmatics offers a host of best-of-breed applications you may already know – including Prism, Geneious and LabArchives - that are used by more than 2 million scientists globally. Together with Dotmatics, we can leverage the resources of a greatly expanded community of customers, users and tools, which is why we believe this is the right next step for SnapGene, our employees, and above all, our customers. We’ll also be able to expand our international footprint, introduce new workflow capabilities and offer more solutions - far exceeding what we could achieve independently.

SnapGene will continue to be the software you know and love. You’ll have access to all of the resources you depend on for efficient, intuitive molecular biology procedures, plus more.

On behalf of the entire SnapGene team, thank you for your unwavering support. Since we launched, our customers have been our top priority. We look forward to continuing to provide you with top-notch solutions to support transformative research across the scientific community.

Best,
Thomas Swalla
